‘Taka Takk’ is a method of preparing the masala for various dishes.
The origin of the name is simple – ‘Taka Takk’ is the sound of the spatula on the over sized tava.
The spatula is used vertically on the tava in a chopping motion, breaking down the ingredients and turning the masala over while it slow cooks.
The Taka Takk dishes are a range of authentic, and truly original, colorful and aromatic dishes from the heart of Lahore.
Traditionally Taka Takk is the equivalent of fast food but Taka Takk is prepared freshly in front of you, to your order.
Within the restaurant, we have seven specially trained chefs from the sub-continent, creating authentic dishes. With many years of experience, Liaqat our Taka Takk chef, will create a dish specially for you while you watch.
For many years we have provided an outside catering service for weddings, parties, corporate and charity events.
Expansion of business, meant that we hade to install purpose made kitchens, cold storage. and have brought in seven specially trained chefs from the sub-continent.
